I am the owner of Andrew Greenhalgh Design and Communications, a small Wirral-based organisation which provides copywriting, graphic design, web design and proof reading services for schools, small business, charities and churches.
Before starting my own company in the summer of 2015, I was a full-time journalist, working for the Liverpool Echo for 12 years in news, features and sport. Prior to that I worked for other local papers including the Lincolnshire Echo, the Exeter Express and Echo and the Oldham Advertiser.
I developed many of my graphic design, copywriting and proof reading skills as a journalist. I worked as a designer, writer, proof reader (reading the pages before they go to press) and sub-editor (checking the reporters’ work for mistakes and style before it goes to press) throughout my journalism career and rose to a senior position at the Liverpool Echo with responsibility for front pages, back pages, features pages and news spreads.
I continue to work as a freelancer for Trinity Mirror, the owner of the Daily Mirror as well as the Liverpool Echo and many other regional newspapers, providing an albums review column each week which appears in the Manchester Evening News, Newcastle Chronicle, Western Mail, Welsh Daily Post and other papers.
Since launching Andrew Greenhalgh Design and Communications to work as a graphic designer, copywriter, web designer and proof reader for schools, small businesses, charities and churches, I have done just that. My clients include Overchurch Junior School, New Brighton Primary School, Claire House Children’s Hospice, CEJ Contractor Accountants, local author Susanne T Schroder, local hairdressers Hairforce and Helen Raeburn Simply Hair and Jubilee Church Wirral.
Away from work I am a Christian and a family man with a wife and four fantastic children and enjoy music, reading and spending time with my family.
